Program Purpose

Broward Health workforce members have an ethical responsibility to report any violations or possible violations of the Code of Conduct, policies and procedures, or Federal and State laws and regulations. To address this responsibility, Broward Health utilizes a compliance hotline as a mechanism to report suspected violations or questionable conduct. All calls made to the compliance hotline are investigated by the Corporate Compliance Department. Workforce members who report issues in good faith shall be protected from retaliation.

The Compliance hotline is operated by a third party organization hired to collect and document information provided during the call. The Compliance hotline operates seven (7) days a week, twenty –four hours a day and (365) days a year.

All callers have the right to remain anonymous. No attempt will be made by Broward Health or the vendor to identify the anonymous caller. Whenever the caller discloses their identity, it will be held in confidence to the fullest extent practical and allowable by law. The information provided will be sent to the Broward Health Corporate Compliance department by EthicsPoint on a confidential and anonymous basis, if the reporter should choose not to share their contact information. Please be sure to include detailed information in your report, and follow-up to determine if there is additional information necessary for an investigation. After you complete your report you will be assigned a unique code called a "report key." Write down your report key and password and keep them in a safe place. After 5-6 business days, use your report key and password to check your report for feedback or questions.
